Retention Rationale

Retention based on the requirements of the Technical Standards and Safety Act, Operating Engineers, O. Reg. 219/01, s. 37 (12) which states "The user shall ensure that the logbook is kept accessible in the plant for at least three years after the last entry is made." The 7-year retention will ensure that the two latest inspection reports of the plant are kept for record and comparison purposes.
