Senate Committee on Awards - Honorary Degree Case Files
Consists of records relating to committee consideration of honorary degree recipients. Records may include nominations, supporting documentation and correspondence.
Office of Primary Responsibility
For case files of candidates selected to receive honorary degrees, retain 3 years
Case files for candidates not selected to receive honorary degrees are retained for 5 years and are either destroyed or returned to the pool of potential nominees
Transfer to Archives
Until operational use ceases
ADG12 - Senate Committees for retention and disposition of other Senate committee records
Retention based on current operational practice.
Case files where candidate refuses the degree or dies in the candidate pool are destroyed after 1 year.
