Consists of records in support of applications for financial assistance through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). Records may include copies of marriage certificates, copies of landed immigrant papers, financial records, signature forms and correspondence.

Retention Rationale

Documents that support OSAP applications must be maintained by the University for two years as required by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Once transferred, records are retained by the Ministry for 20 years and then destroyed.
